FAQS

Why do I have to pay Shipping?
Most of our items exceed the dimensions, weight and conditional limits for Australia post. The majority of our products are considered Big & Bulky, heavy weight or long oversized items that must be sent by courier. Our courier partners charge a range of additional fees based on unique factors. These may include delivery to a residential or remote address, attempted delivery charges, fuel and demand surcharges. We do our best to ensure your order arrives in the best condition and in the fasted possible time
Why did you call me to charge extra shipping after I placed my order?
While we do our best to give you the most accurate shipping estimate, the cost calculation is not always straight forward. Due to the dimension and weight conditions of these products, surcharges are often applied separately by the freight companies that make it impossible to calculate correct and final shipping charges online.
Each order is handled on a case by case basis. One of our team members may be in contact if the shipping cost charged at checkout does not cover the final courier fee.

What is the difference between 8oz, 10oz, 12oz and 15oz?
The difference between 8oz, 10oz, 12oz, and 15oz canvases lies in their weight, thickness, durability, and texture, which impact how they perform for different artistic applications. The weight (measured in ounces per square yard) refers to the density of the canvas material before priming.
Should I choose primed or unprimed canvas?
When selecting a canvas for painting, you’ll need to decide between primed and unprimed options. The choice depends on your painting technique, medium, and artistic preferences. Primed canvases are coated with a layer (or multiple layers) of gesso—a mixture of chalk, pigment, and binder—that creates a smooth, absorbent surface for painting. Unprimed canvas is raw, untreated fabric that requires priming before use. This gives artists more control over the final painting surface.
